Bad Bunny Continues To Show Support For Consent And LGBTQ Community While Playing Dress-Up In New Yo Perreo Sola Video – Watch Here
Bad Bunny broke records when he dropped “YHLQMDLG (I Do What I Want)” back in February. The album has gone on to be the highest-charting all-Spanish language album ever. With all the success the 26-year-old Puerto Rican superstar has achieved in such a short career, he has been sure to include messages of inclusivity along the way.
Most recently, El Conejo Malo appeared on The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon wearing long earrings, a skirt, and a t-shirt that read “Mataron a Alexa, no a un hombre con falda (They killed Alexa, not a man in a skirt)”. The “Ignorantes (Ignorant)” performance was dedicated to Alexa Negrón Luciano, a trans woman who was shot to death earlier this year in Puerto Rico.
Bad Bunny’s videos have become known as visual works of art that push the envelope when it comes to taboo subjects in Urban music and the catchy club-hit “Yo Perreo Sola (I dance by myself)” that has recently gone viral is no exception. The Latin Trap star uses the visuals to once again show support for the LGBTQ community awhile donning his finest club gear and including women of all shapes and sizes perreando. The video ends with the words “Si no quire bailar contigo, respeta. Ella perrea sola. (If she doesn’t want to dance with you, respect her. She dances by herself.)”
