Slim Thug’s New Album “Thug Life” Is Musical Therapy Just Days After The Rapper Is Diagnosed With Corona Virus – Stream Here
If you’ve been paying any attention at all lately there’s been a number of actors, athletes and entertainers who have been diagnosed with the novel Corona virus. From Tom Hanks, to Idris Elba, to Kevin Durant, COVID-19 isn’t being biased when it comes to choosing it’s victims. Among the list of those affected? Slim Thug. He took to his Instagram earlier this week to share the news with his followers. Ironically, the Houston rapper is one of the few people who took extreme precaution early on and quarantined himself in his home.
While many people questioned whether or not the rapper was being serious or simply playing a prank, it seems as though the diagnosis was no joke considering rapper Scarface shared today that he too had acquired the virus. “I been to the point where I just felt like I was going to die,” he told Willie D of The Geto Boys via ZOOM.
At at time where anxiety is increasing and depression is setting in for many, music has seemed to serve as a sort of therapy for those struggling to stay positive. Needless to say, ‘Thug Life’ came at just the right time. Track 4 on the project samples Charles Bradley’s “The World (Is Going Up In Flames)” and will resonate with every listener during this time of panic and uncertainty.
“This world is going up in flames and nobody wanna take the blame. Don’t tell me how to live my life when you never felt the pain.”
