King VirGogh Drops “Different Days: Prologue” EP
King VirGogh’s “Different Days: Prologue” EP gives listeners a personal look into his life. Growing up in The Bronx, there’s always a story to tell. “Store Run” the most popular song, is a good example of that.
“Old heads beefin right inside the storefront. Dice games by the poured rum. Collecting winnings like a scored run.”
Whether you see this at your local corner store or not, King VirGogh paints a picture with words and really sets the tone for his neighborhood growing up. After having serious heart problems, King spent two of the hardest months of his life in the ICU. Suffering from major complications, unanswered questions from doctors and unlucky patients surrounding him, “ICU” is the journey that nobody wants to experience. Like every New York story, there’s love and heartbreak. “Mimosas” is the tale of love over brunch, tragically coming to an end with “Wants + Needs.” The EP comes to an end with “Vital Or Not” and the “Different Days Outro.” After struggling with support and fake love, King eventually comes to terms with himself and who he wants to be, not what others expect. From lyrics to flow, “Different Days” replicates a true Bronx experience.
