Last year was a big year for Lil Baby. The Quality Control rapper not only received a Grammy nod for best rap/sung performance for “Drip Too Hard” but he also won best new artist at the BET Awards. With recent stories coming out such as how Young Thug paid the popular new rapper to stay off the streets and stay in the studio to record, and the recent online beef between his baby mama Jayda Cheaves and Alexis Skyy, Lil Baby has stayed in the blogs… We can only assume through his subliminal tweets, however, that he’s going to let the music speak for him instead of the drama. After dropping his debut album Harder Than Ever, he was sure to let fans know that he would be coming even harder with a follow up project (no pun intended).
“It’s my turn in music, period. It’s my turn to go number 1, it’s my turn to have three songs back to back on radio. It’s just my turn to really show them how I’m coming,” he said during the NBA All-Star break. “I don’t even feel like I’m in my prime.”
The 20 track project includes features from Lil Uzi Vert, Future, Gunna, Young Thug, Moneybagg Yo, 42 Dugg and new signee Rylo Rodriguez.
